The view from the bar out to the property is stunning.

The shower pressure was dismal, making it nearly impossible to enjoy a comfortable wash after a long day. the heat pump was incredibly difficult to operate, adding to the frustration of our stay. I expected better from a room advertised as deluxe, but it was simply underwhelming and not worth the price.

The hotel was perfect for our family getaway, especially with our little dog. We loved that it was just a short drive to the golf course for some outdoor fun and the room was nice and warm after a chilly day on the road.

My kids wished for a kids' play area.

The Superior King Room featured very clean facilities and an enjoyable shower experience. The friendly service at dinner added to the atmosphere, and the artisan bread was a delightful addition to the meal. there were no plates or utensils in the room for our own snacks, and some of the furnishings appeared worn out. the lack of a microwave limited our dining options.

The Deluxe King Room offered a convenient stay, especially during our trip down the South Island. I appreciated the spacious layout, providing plenty of room for our luggage without creating trip hazards. The bathroom impressed me with its cleanliness, and the shower was a highlight with great pressure. the heat pump was tricky to operate, which made adjusting the temperature a hassle. I expected more from a 'deluxe' title, given the lack of amenities like a sink for hot drinks besides the bathroom. It felt overpriced at $175 a night, even with the discount. the location suited our needs, but be prepared for some inconveniences.

the staff were incredibly helpful, and we enjoyed the beautiful garden views from the dining area. having an in-house restaurant made dining incredibly convenient! 🌿🍽️
